Joy-A-Len Bouviers has been breeding quality Bouvier Des Flandres since 1969. Our first priorities are solid temperament and intelligence. All breeding stock is health tested (Hips, Elbows, Thyroid, Eyes and Heart).
We are involved in conformation, agility, obedience, herding and carting, so a sound heatlthy dog is important to us.
Shown to the right is CH JOY-A-LEN'S SIR PATRICK CGC at work herding sheep. In the past, we have competed in Schutzhund which involves obedience, tracking and protection competition. We realize that most of our customers are not interested in showing and just want a reliable, lovable companion. However, it does not cost anymore to feed a well bred dog and vet bills will be substantially less on a dog who has a family history of strength and durability. We raise all our puppies in the house in a loving, bustling atmosphere.
All our breeding stock is kept in the home and considered members of our family. Our puppy's tails are docked with their dew claws at one days old. Ears are cropped at three days old. The ears are standing by six weeks when they are vet checked. Joy-A-Len Bouviers strives to communicate well with new owners to ensure happy puppies and satisfied customers. For more information concerning the parents of our current litter please call in the late evening to insure reaching the breeder, or send your request by e-mail.
