If you have never been to a dog show, here is a quick preview of what is involved. Here are some photos of Judith, Lee Ann and Becky showing at the UKC - Muskegon Lakeshore Obedience Training Club show in August 2002.

 

Conformation

Conformation Events, or Dog Shows, are competitive events that evaluate a dog’s structure as it compares to a written description of the perfect specimen of that breed, called a standard.

Emily won the class and earned her GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP title.

We always have fun showing and it is GREAT when it ends with a BEST IN SHOW!!!

 

Don't forget about obedience
Here Pandora, Nick and the rest of their class work
their "Sit / Stay". The handlers tell their dog to stay and walk
to the other side of the ring. They must stay sitting for 1 minute.
